Mission Statement |
PREFACE
Every land is Karbala and every
day is Ashura, but Karbala means a lot more than
land of martyrs, and “day of ashura” gives a lot
more than a reason to mourn. Every year hundreds
and thousands of juloos and makalis, collectively
known as azadaris, with millions and millions
of attendees, are held all over the world, to
mourn on the day of ashura. These mournings and
majalis are in continuation of the first majalis
and mourning held by Bibi Zainab (AS) after her
release from yazid’s prison. This majlis and mourning
was not only an important and vital step and part
in continuation of the efforts of our prophet
Muhammad (SAW) and our Imam (AS) to spread and
promote Islam and its values but also a deciding
line between the good and evil. It was the foundation
for the formation of an ongoing and everlasting
worldwide Islamic academy wherein the momineen
will not only learn and derive their Islamic values
but also the strength to live by these values
and become practicing Shiite in their day to day
lives.
The preservation and promotion
of this very spirit and essence, above and beyond
the physical and social replication, of the first
majlis-e-Aza among the momineen, throughout the
world is the core mission of azadarifoundation.
MISSION
STATEMENT
We Strive to:
-
Establish, preserve,
protect, propagate, promote, and facilitate
the shia school of thought and the very spirit
of Azadari-e-Sayed-ul-Shohada Imam Hussain (A.S.),
as a separate brand identity, as compared to
other sects and as a way of life as opposed
to a part of life.
-
Provide a a single
platform to all Shia organizations, which will
help us unite our resources to benefit the community
at large; especially our youth.
-
And develop the
wisdom, virtue and strength to better understand
and embrace the values and concepts of Azadari
in our day to day lives.
